Head of Brand & Customer

A fast-growing Australian e-commerce business is seeking an experienced brand and customer leader to help shape its next phase of growth.

This newly created role has a broad remit across customer strategy and insights, brand, engagement and experience, with the opportunity to build a deeper understanding of the customer and use that insight to shape strategy, challenge thinking and drive better commercial decisions.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and develop the function while building its influence across the organisation, working closely with e-commerce, buying, creative and operations to connect customer and brand thinking with product, experience and commercial performance.

Operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, you will be comfortable challenging the status quo, bringing a strong point of view and communicating strategy in a way that engages others. You will enjoy setting direction but be equally willing to get into the detail and work at pace to turn thinking into action.

Your background may have been built within e-commerce, retail, fashion or another fast-moving consumer environment, or within a strategic agency working closely with consumer and e-commerce brands. Either way, you will understand the commercial realities of e-commerce and have a strong track record of using customer insight to shape strategy, strengthen brands and drive growth.

Importantly, you will be able to bring others with you, building the credibility and value of the function and embedding customer thinking more deeply across the business.
