Deaf Connect is on a journey to expand and enhance services that support Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing Australians to live fulfilling, independent lives. At the heart of this journey is their Ageing Well division, and they are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its transformation.

This is more than a leadership role, it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aged care in a way that is deeply connected to community, responsive to individual needs and driven by purpose. The General Manager will be instrumental in scaling their services nationally, growing revenue streams and ensuring that their support for older people is not only high-quality but also innovative, inclusive and sustainable.

You’ll lead a team of dedicated professionals delivering care coordination and support planning services across multiple jurisdictions. From developing strategic business plans and managing clinical governance, to ensuring aged care services are compliant, financially viable and audit-ready - you’ll be hands-on in every aspect of delivering outcomes for the community. Your role will also involve establishing partnerships with key stakeholders, exploring and implementing new funding and service models, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and consumer-led design.

Deaf Connect is deeply committed to providing culturally appropriate and accessible aged care. As General Manager, you’ll ensure that information, advice and advocacy are delivered in ways that truly empower Deaf seniors and Auslan users. You’ll lead the development of resources, train and support staff, and ensure that the needs of the people they serve are respected and central to how they work.

Reporting to the Chief Services Officer, you’ll be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, trusted to provide strategic foresight, support the executive in planning for future service delivery and contribute your aged care expertise at the highest levels. This includes identifying emerging needs, managing service risks, driving workforce development, and ensuring the organisation remain aligned with evolving legislation and aged care reform priorities.

This is a unique chance to lead with vision and compassion, to influence at scale, and to leave a legacy in an organisation that truly values innovation, collaboration, and community impact.

This role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth.
