Lutheran Services is a purpose-led organisation committed to supporting individuals, families and communities to live the life they choose -with dignity, care and connection. As the organisation enters a new phase of transformation, an opportunity exists for an exceptional executive to lead and shape the future of its Community Services portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to lead at scale, combining purpose with performance, and building on a strong legacy while positioning the organisation for sustainable growth and impact.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of a diverse and growing portfolio. The role will lead the evolution of Community Services through the implementation of a strengthened operating model, establishing clear governance, consistent service delivery frameworks, and disciplined operational foundations to enable high-quality, scalable outcomes. With oversight of programs, workforce capability and performance, this role will bring clarity, alignment and accountability across a complex and geographically dispersed environment.
This is a leadership role with real impact, suited to an executive who is energised by transformation and comfortable leading through complexity. You will translate strategy into clear priorities and deliver enterprise-wide change, embedding new structures, processes and ways of working that support consistency, efficiency and improved client outcomes, while building and leading a high-performing leadership team.
Lutheran Services is grounded in its values of Empowerment, Integrity, Kindness and Innovation, and the successful candidate will be an authentic, values-led leader who builds trust, empowers others and creates clarity in times of change, while engaging effectively across government, community and internal stakeholders.
You will bring demonstrated experience leading large-scale operational environments and transformation, with the ability to improve service quality, performance and financial sustainability. Strong governance capability, commercial acumen and highly developed stakeholder engagement skills will be essential, along with the ability to balance purpose with performance and lead with both conviction and care.
Experience within not-for-profit, NDIS or purpose-led environments will be highly regarded.
