Mackay Women’s Services is seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager to lead community connection, strategic partnerships, marketing and growth initiatives that strengthen their impact across the Mackay region.

Mackay Women’s Services is a respected not-for-profit organisation supporting women, children and communities affected by domestic and family violence and sexual assault across the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday regions.
Their work spans counselling, crisis response, safety planning, education, community awareness and behaviour change programs, all underpinned by a commitment to being Holistic, Ethical, Respectful and Socially Just.
About the Opportunity
Reporting into the CEO, this role will lead the organisation’s community engagement and partnership strategy while enhancing visibility, strengthening stakeholder relationships and creating opportunities for long-term sustainability.
You will work across community, government, corporate and funding networks to increase awareness, deepen community connection and diversify support for their services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver community engagement and partnership initiatives aligned to organisational strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, government, sponsors and local businesses
- Identify and grow partnership, sponsorship and funding opportunities
- Coordinate grants and support submissions to diversify income streams
- Lead marketing and communication campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Manage social media, website content and public communications
- Plan and deliver events, workshops and outreach activities
- Create compelling content including newsletters, campaigns, media releases and impact stories
- Monitor engagement outcomes and provide insights to support continuous improvement
- Coordinate volunteer engagement and strengthen community participation
About You
You are a relationship builder who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and are passionate about creating positive social impact.
You will bring:
- Experience in community engagement, partnerships, business development, marketing or fundraising
- Strong stakeholder management and networking capability
- Experience developing initiatives that build community awareness and engagement
- Exposure to grants, sponsorships or funding opportunities
- Excellent written communication and content development skills
- Confidence managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Experience across digital platforms and communications channels
- Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline (preferred)
