Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) is the united voice of Queensland agriculture, representing the interests of peak body members, Queensland agriculture more broadly and regional communities across the state. As the peak body for Queensland’s agricultural sector, QFF advocates on the issues that matter most to industry, government and the future sustainability of farming in Queensland.

Reporting directly to the President and Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the organisation through its next phase of strategic delivery, advocacy and commercial sustainability. Leading a team of approximately 25 staff, the CEO will balance high-level strategic leadership with operational execution, ensuring QFF remains influential, financially sustainable, member-focused and highly regarded across industry and government.

This is a broad and hands-on executive leadership role requiring a commercially astute and politically aware leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment and deliver on peak body members priorities. The CEO will lead the implementation of QFF’s Strategic Plan, oversee organisational performance and financial management, and continue to strengthen relationships across member organisations, government, industry, media and corporate partners.

The successful candidate will bring strong commercial and financial capability, including experience managing budgets, cashflow, grants, partnerships and diversified revenue streams. Equally important will be the ability to lead people, build alignment across competing priorities and represent QFF with credibility, influence and executive presence.
You may currently be leading within a member-based organisation, industry association, government, agribusiness or a complex stakeholder environment where advocacy, commerciality and relationship management are critical to success. An understanding of agriculture and the issues impacting the sector will be highly regarded.
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Queensland’s most influential industry organisations and play a key role in shaping the future of agriculture across the state.
